Cracking in garage wall

What happened
The customer noticed large cracks had started to appear in the walls and on the floors of their garage.
What we did
The insurance provider assigned the claim to us and our claims handler contacted the customer for a triage call to gather additional details on the claim. This resulted in the decision to send a surveyor to the property. Our surveyor carried out an in-depth assessment of the floors and walls of the garage and discovered the cracking was caused by thermal cracking within the property.
The result
The claims handler provided the final report to the customer and although the claim was repudiated due to the damage not being caused by subsidence, the customer was understandable relieved and pleased with the efficiency of the process.
